Hail to the Emperor
Every day was a good day to be the Emperor of New Oplentis.
The wolfkin once known as Enigma the Great Detective was truly at the top of the hierarchy. And though he knew that fact was ironclad, he also knew it was no excuse to rest of his laurels. If anything, this titan body, chiseled and enhanced, bequeathed to him by the scientific and alchemical processes pioneered by his now Chief Alchemist and husband, Volpes, needed to be worked even harder. He may not have earned the physique, but he was going to hone it to a sharper edge than anyone else among his soldiers and citizens.
And in that spirit, he committed himself to his grand project. He would use the resources, the city-state, at his disposal. By whatever means necessary, he would recruit the greatest martial artists, weaponsmasters, and mages across the plane, assimilating them into the empire. Not only would they lead his ever-expanding army, they would train him in their ways, molding him in turn into a master of the battlefield.
He thought back to that puny wolfkin, locked away in a cage. Made prisoner by those stronger than he could ever be, unable to defend himself with his own magics. He recalled how it felt to give in, take that potion and be transformed. His features curled into a smile, the memory of bending steel bars like tissue paper forever etched into his palms.
Enigma died that day, as the weakling should have. In his place, someone new. Someone who would never allow himself to bow down to another. Someone who would never need to rot in captivity ever again.
All hail Rabrandt, Emperor of New Oplentis.
Another lovely YCH from LittleBadWolf, this one too perfect for Emperor Enigma to give it to anyone else. I’m particularly fond of the shape of his arms and abs, and how the pecs slightly jut out of his chest: A physique looking honed to perfection.
This was also a good excuse to revisit where I want to take the Emperor going forward, seeding ideas that I might latch onto and make use of later.
There was something about The Terror of Grazefield that made me realize there was more here that I could take advantage of. With luck, it’s something other people will find just as interesting.
