A Quiet, Peaceful Evening
Not every moment of a multiverse-traveling planeswalker’s adventures can be thrilling. There is often downtime, and even that can be meaningful in it’s own way.
Here, after a long day of exploring a brand new world, Enigma has opted to set up camp for the night. In a rare moment, he’s both in normal form and dressed down, taking in the world around him, jotting down notes about what he’s encountered and who he’s seen so far. He’ll be turning in for the night soon, so it’s best to put his thoughts to paper while they’re still fresh in his mind.

Ignoring the part of that text the references symbiotes, as that was still the canonical timeline, I remember this piece and concept being inspired by Final Fantasy XIV. Camp sites in that game are consecrated such that monsters are incapable of attacking people inside the wards. As a mage, I see no reason why Enigma wouldn’t also be capable of such a feat.
And similarly, I liked the idea that as both an adventurer and a detective, Enigma would take detailed notes that he could refer to them later. Not so much for his benefit due to his eidetic memory, but for those who might need to trace his steps or scrutinize his work later.
Oftentimes, these are the practical considerations that aren’t necessary for a story to work, but add to world-building and verisimilitude.
