A Night to Remember

It was the last day of their vacation, before they had to return to the Magistrum to prepare for the next semester. Edmund decided that this evening would be special, and he knew just the way to do it. He called his partner, Mortimer, to the rooftop of their hotel, just as the sun had finally set, and had him take the one seat clearly prepared.

That night, the rabbitkin was treated to a delightful performance. Using a spark for his lightning magic, Edmund ignited a set the wicks attached to the end of two chains, and began dancing. Though Mortimer knew now when his partner had the time, it was clear that he had practiced this performance rigorously, each move perfectly choreographed in a stunning display as the flames took a life of their own.

Though even the warmth of those fires couldn’t compare to the warmth they felt for each on the final night before they had to return home. Edmund wished for it to be a night to remember. For Mortimer, it was exactly that.
